MERCURY HOSTS FOURTH ANNUAL DADDY’S DATE NIGHT
Celebrate Father’s Day early with the Mercury on Friday, June 19
WHAT: The Phoenix Mercury is offering a special night on the town for fathers and daughters during the annual Daddy’s Date Night on Friday, June 19.
For just $65, dads and daughters receive a pair of lower-level tickets ($38.75 value), two hot dogs, two sodas, a commemorative magnetic picture frame, a special photo opportunity with Scorch and an autographed Diana Taurasi picture.
The Mercury is also teaming up with the Cultural Cup Food Bank and collecting canned food items at Friday’s game. The Cultural Cup Food Bank is an emergency food bank option for those in need, who have religious, health and dietary food restrictions.
Donated canned goods will be collected in the Casino Arizona Pavilion beginning at 5:45 p.m.
The Mercury faces off against the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday night for the first of four matchups this season. The teams split the four-game season series in 2008. Phoenix is leading the league is scoring for a fourth-straight season and is averaging 94.2 points, 5.2 points higher than the Mercury’s league-record 89.0-point average in the 2007 championship season.
