Phoenix Mercury front office staff visit downtown area to rally community for home opener on June 6
PHOENIX – The Phoenix Mercury will tip off the 2009 season by visiting downtown Phoenix residences and businesses as part of the “Meet Your Mercury Neighbor” campaign today, May 27, and Thursday, May 28.
Businesses and residents will receive special ticket offers as well as opportunities to receive behind the scenes tours of US Airways Center, including the Mercury locker room. Employees will also deliver Mercury posters, key-cards and schedules.
“The Mercury is thrilled to be part of the revitalization of downtown Phoenix,” said Jay Parry, President and COO of the Mercury. “We are the hometown team and our goal is to have all of the Valley, especially downtown Phoenix, rally around us this summer. Our employees are looking forward to two fun-filled days of creating excitement and awareness about the upcoming Mercury season.”
The Phoenix Mercury tips off the 2009 season on Saturday, June 6 vs. the San Antonio Silver Stars. Tickets for the home opener are on sale now and start at just $10. The first 6,000 through the doors on opening night will receive a commemorative T-shirt courtesy of the Arizona Lottery.
