Phoenix Mercury announces 2008 preseason schedule

WNBA Champions to host new Atlanta Dream on May 11

PHOENIX – The 2007 WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury today announced the team’s 2008 preseason schedule. The Mercury will tip-off the preseason on the road against the Connecticut Sun on May 4 in Uncasville, Conn.

Highlighting the Mercury’s preseason schedule is the May 11* inaugural game between the defending champions and the Atlanta Dream. The Mercury will host the Dream at US Airways Center at 6:00 p.m. This will be the first chance for Phoenix to see the league’s newest franchise take the court.

On May 17, 2008 the 2007 WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will begin its 12^th season under the direction of General Manager Ann Meyers Drysdale and new Head Coach Corey Gaines. Featured on ABC, the 2008 season will tip-off at US Airways Center at 12:30 p.m. against the Los Angeles Sparks.
