Elite Eight coach to appear on last two televised FSN Arizona games of Mercury season

PHOENIX- Arizona State University head women’s basketball coach Charli Turner Thorne will appear as a broadcaster on FSN Arizona during the Phoenix Mercury home games on Sunday, July 29 at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 19 at 4:00 p.m.

"Our partnership with the Mercury has been invaluable,” said Turner Thorne. We have been able to share our resources to better promote women's basketball and serve our community. They are truly a first class organization."

Turner Thorne heads up one of the premiere college basketball programs in the country and led the ASU Women’s basketball team to an Elite Eight finish in the 2007 season. This is her second year as a broadcaster for the Mercury, thus furthering the relationship between the Mercury and ASU Women’s basketball.

Currently tied for second place in the West, the Mercury return to action this Sunday at US Airways Center hosting the Indiana Fever at 4:00 p.m. Lower-level tickets start at $10 and are available by calling (602) 252-WNBA or visiting www.phoenixmercury.com.
