Suns, Mercury to team up with Maricopa County Library to promote literacy

WHAT: The Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury have teamed up with the Maricopa County Library to tip-off their summer reading program with festivities at the Phoenix Zoo on Saturday, June 2 from 9 AM – 12 PM.

The program encourages kids to read books throughout the summer and based on the number of books read they are rewarded with a pair of Phoenix Mercury or Phoenix RoadRunner tickets.

In addition, the event will feature a special reading by Suns alumnus and radio broadcaster Tim Kempton along with the Phoenix Suns’ Gorilla, Phoenix Mercury’s Scorch and Phoenix RoadRunner’s Rocky.
