Rush to Record Clockwork Angels Tour in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ– Wed. November 14th, 2012

Rush announced today that both Phoenix and Dallas performances will be filmed for inclusion in an upcoming DVD set for release in 2013. The Clockwork Angels Tour kicked off in Manchester this September to a sold out audience at the Verizon Arena, and has garnered rave reviews across North America for their epic live show.

"The faithful came and RUSH delivered. Epic. Profound. Joyous. Incredible." – Buffalo News

“Geddy Lee’s voice shows shockingly little wear for its 59 years, and the band is ridiculously tight.” – Rolling Stone

“On the Clockwork Angels Tour, Rush was accompanied by an eight-piece string section, complete with a conductor. There was nothing staid or fussy about the Clockwork Angels strings: these men and women rocked out as hard as the band did, and that includes the cellists, who were bobbing up and down in their seats to "YYZ." – NJ Star Ledger

Rush’s 20th studio album, Clockwork Angels has earned rapturous press since its release June 12th of this year. Describing it as Rush's "most solid and compelling set of songs in years", The Guardian UK claimed, "Those who worship at the temple of Rush will be in raptures; for those who remain agnostic, there may well be enough here to justify a leap of faith."

The rocking lead single "Headlong Flight" hit #1 at Classic Rock, Top 5 Mainstream Rock radio, and peaked at #26 Active Rock (the highest Active Rock chart position for the band in years). The current single, "The Wreckers" is already Top 5 Mainstream and Classic Rock with almost 5000 spins to date.

For the first time ever, Rush have been nominated to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, and they were just honored with the two biggest awards at the Classic Rock Magazine awards in London, UK for Band of Year and Album of Year.
